Mississippi D1 Ambassadors are in their 3rd year of existence.  The roster is always stocked with high level athletes.  They are coached by James Cole and assisted by Emmanuell Lockhart.

March 31-April 1               Battle of the South                       Jackson, MS

One of the South’s and the Country’s toughest events out of the gate is theBattle of the South in Jackson, Mississippi.  The 2012 version of Mississippi D1 Ambassadors finished 2-1, including an impressive win over a stacked MBA Elite (MS) and Tuscaloosa Warriors (AL).  They lost their final game in a squeaker to the Georgia Dynasty.

D1 was outmatched on the block but pressure defense and timely execution carried them to victory.  They were led by 2013 6’7″ Xavier Thigpen (13), 2013 6’4″  Ron Logan (11) and 5’9″ G Torrian Lee (11).

D1 outmatched their opponent and it was an ESPN highlight reel with multiple monster dunks.  Thigpen had 18 points and PG Nick Vazquez added 12.

Mississippi D1 wasted 16 points from Torrian Lee, losing a 13 point lead to fall out of bracket play.
