D1 Nation: NCAA Alumni Updates

What a week for the D1 Nation and it's D1 Ambassadors college alumni.  Did anyone catch the Sports Center highlight of Memphis Tigers F 6'5" D.J. Stephens catching one off the rim and tomahawking it home?  Wow.  The Pride of Harker Heights (TX) is a highlight guy and a threat to posterize someone every time out. 2013 Liberty Hill F Blake Danielak To Texas Tech

While other folks are getting ready for their Super Bowl Parties and what turned out to be a heck of a game, the D1 Nation never sleeps.  It's basketball all day, every day.  The pulse of grassroots basketball has a lot in common in that respect with Texas Tech Head Coach Billy Clyde Gillispie.  Today, Texas Tech offered and 2013 F 6'7" Blake Danielak accepted.  Texas Tech fans and most of the basketball wo ...

Baton Rouge McKinley’s Daryl Milburn A McDonald’s Nominee

Seems like there's not a lot these days can be done without red tape and a whole lot of paper shuffling.  2012 G Daryl Milburn of Baton Rouge McKinley (LA) had received his McDonald's All American nominee certificate, yet he was not included on the official list released last week.  His dad was miffed and called me about it. D1 Nation: NCAA Alumni Updates

One of the most enjoyable things about being the standard bearer for publicity in the Killeen-Austin-San Antonio area is seeing the kids we've touched with the D1 Ambassadors now manifest their talents in the classroom and on the court at the college level.  It takes about 4 hours for me to comb through every NCAA game on a weekly basis to compile all of our alumni's performances of the week.  It's a labor ...

Darrington Hobson Re-Signs With Milwaukee Bucks

Huge congratulations to Texas D1 Ambassadors alumni Darrington "Butta" Hobson. The former New Mexico Lobo and Mountain West Conference MVP was drafted with the 37th pick overall in the NBA's 2010 Draft.
