D1 Nation Recruiting Analysts

As the D1 Nation continues to grow in scope and influence it is critical that I have other eyes and ears around the country to initially bring deserving young players to my attention.  All are trained in the “D1 Nation way”. Too often, character is not included in evaluations.  We take pride in getting to know the players we endorse.  It’s my position that prior behavior and academic discipline are a direct correlation to future improvement, dedication and success on the court. Below are our Regional Recruiting Analysts.

Texas

San Antonio/South Texas:  Chip Ivany    BSc. (Texas-San Antonio)

In addition to a great high school career, Chip has seen college basketball at all levels having played one year of Junior College (Hill, TX), being part of an NCAA Tournament team (South Alabama) and at Texas-San Antonio.  He’s coached high level players on the AAU circuit and has the respect of all the basketball people he has crossed paths with.  He resides in San Antonio with his fiancee’ Judy Jones and their son, Julian.

T.J. Garza:  Austin/Central Texas

Coach Garza has the experience of sealing with his own son Jonathan’s recruitment (Lamar, Arkansas-Fort Smith).  In addition he runs one of the State’s top performance training companies, Speed Killz Period.  His advanced training methods are a critical component to many of the D1 Nation alumni’s performances at the NCAA level.  He resides in Liberty Hill, TX with his wife Dana and his three children; Alex, Kyle and Caleb.
