D1 Nation’s NCAA Alumni Top Performances of the Week
The NCAA season is drawing to a close with most conferences beginning their tournaments next week. The D1 Ambassadors had another great week. Our alumni dot the rosters of teams from coast to coast in almost every Division One conference.
24. D.J. Stephens Jr. Harker Heights (TX) Memphis
Stephens had another emphatic poster dunk this past week as most of you ESPN junkies know. He had 4 points, 5 rebounds, a steal and 2 blocks vs the East Carolina Pirates.
23. Zay Jackson Fr. Hammond St. Thomas Aquinas (LA) Murray State
The true freshman is coming into his own with the Racers. He had 9 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals vs Tennessee Tech.
22. Mark Nwakamma Fr. Leander (TX) Hartford
Nwakamma had 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal vs Stony Brook.
21. Brian Williams RS-Fr. Baton Rouge Glen Oaks (LA) Oklahoma State
Williams had 11 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists vs the Oklahoma Sooners.
20. Jordan Clarkson S0. Converse Wagner (TX) Tulsa
Clarkson had 15 points and a rebound vs Tulane.
19. Jason Brickman So. San Antonio Clark (TX) Long Island
Brickman has now moved into the #5 spot in the country in steals as he had 2 points, 2 rebounds and 13 assists in a win over Fairleigh Dickinson.
18. Deon Mitchell Fr. Pflugerville (TX) Northern Iowa
Mitchell had 12 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
17. Travis Jones Sr. Georgetown (TX) Texas State
Jones had 7 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in a win over Texas-San Antonio.
16. TaShawn Thomas Fr. Killeen (TX) Houston
Thomas had 10 points, 7 rebounds an assist and 2 steals vs the SMU Mustangs.
15. Murray State’s Zay Jackson makes his 2nd Top 25 appearance as he had 11 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal vs Tennessee State.
14. Eric McClellan Fr. Austin (TX) Tulsa
McClellan had 15 points, 5 assists and 2 rebounds vs Tulane.
13. Cody Doolin So. Austin Westlake (TX) San Francisco
Doolin had 13 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals vs the San Jose State Spartans.
12. Long Island’s Jason Brickman makes his 2nd Top 25 appearance with a 16 point, 3 rebound and 4 assist performance vs Monmouth.
11. Andre Roberson So. Converse Wagner (TX) Colorado
Roberson had 9 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals vs Stanford.
10. Oklahoma State’s Brian Williams had 17 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists in a win over the Texas A&M Aggies.
9. Paul Garnica So. San Antonio Lee (TX) Northern Colorado
Garnica had 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists vs Weber State.
8. Houston’s TaShawn Thomas put up nice numbers with 11 points and 14 rebounds vs the Marshall Thundering Herd.
7. John Henson Jr. Round Rock (TX) North Carolina
Henson had 15 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks in a win vs the Virginia Cavaliers.
6. Colorado’s Andre Roberson continues to be a double double waiting to happen. He had 8 points, 15 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks vs the California Golden Bears.
5. Here comes North Carolina’s Big John Henson again as he led the Tar Heels in their Tobacco Road win over North Carolina State with 14 points, 13 rebounds, an assist and 2 blocks.
4. Royce O’Neale Fr. Harker Heights (TX) Denver
O’Neale continues to fill the stat sheet as he had 11 points, 11 rebounds, an assist, 7 steals and a block as the Pioneers took the mean out of the Mean Green.
3. Joel Smith Jr. Leander (TX) Northeastern
Smith had 24 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists vs Delaware.
2. What a week for Northeastern Junior Joel Smith. The 6’4″ guard gave George Mason the business finishing with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.
1. Cameron Moore Sr. San Antonio Roosevelt (TX) Alabama-Birmingham
In an organization with great alumni Moore consistently puts up Top 5 numbers EVERY week to lead the D1 Nation. This week he had a 21 point, 14 rebound and 2 block performance against East Carolina.
