Warren is hitting on all cylinders now with the return of 2013 G Marcus Keene (17 points) who makes things happen. and opens up the floor for others. 2012 F 6’7″ Taurean Waller-Prince led with 23 points and 2012 Jerell Ellis chipped in with 15.
San Antonio Brandeis 80 San Antonio Stevens 46
A disinterested Stevens squad went through the motions. They got 17 from Uche Ofoegbu who ends his high school career and head to Southern Methodist and the Big East. 2012 Marcus Roper had 21. For Brandeis, there was balance and domination as a group. Four players had double figures as the Broncs not only earned their first playoff berth but also wrapped up a District Championship!
Boerne 59 Canyon Lake 41
Boerne went undefeated in District (12-0) and enter the playoffs along with Sam Houston and Liberty Hill are favorites to get to State in 3A.
Converse Judson 55 New Braunfels 53
2014 Post David Wacker led the way with 15 points. Look for Judson to be a tough playoff match up.
San Antonio Alamo Heights 61 Schertz Clemens 36
2012 Jeffrey Rodewald had 23 points and 2014 F Ben Lammers added 14 as Alamo Heights rolls in to the playoffs with a gaudy 29-2 record.
San Antonio Brennan 106 Medina Valley 67
The Bears took Medina Valley behind the woodshed as 2013 W George King had 26 points to lead the way and 2013 G Johnny Azzinaro San Antonio’s leading scorer at 22.7 ppg chipped in with 17. Brennan cruised to their District championship by going 12-0.
Converse Wagner 77 Seguin 49
Senior Kenneth Bray had 22 to lead Wagner into the playoffs. Opponent beware!
San Marcos 67 Cibolo Steele 52
2012 hopper, Allex Austin took his high flying act to Seguin and delivered a 25 point and 20 rebound performance as the Rattlers bit Steele.
