Cullen Neal To St. Mary’s
2013 G 6’4″ Cullen Neal of Albuquerque El Dorado will head to the West Coast Conference. The leading scorer in the State of New Mexico will take his 27 plus ppg scoring average to St. Mary’s.
The 6’4″ PG is the son of former Georgia Tech player Craig “Noodles” Neal who is also the Associate Head Coach at the University of New Mexico. He had multiple offers including Oregon State, San Francisco, Gonzaga, Tulane and Arizona State. Shown below, Neal getting mugged on the way to an “and 1″.
Neal will team up with 2013 Bryce Alford and the Danny Granger D1 Ambassadors to form a hellacious backcourt on the spring/summer circuit. St. Mary’s is getting a high major player. The opportunity to play for Randy Bennett played a big part in the decision. Most others list Cullen as a SG, but I believe he’ll be a big scoring point. His instincts are outstanding and his mental game is advanced. He is also the #90 ranked player nationally according to ESPNU. Congratulations to Cullen and his family.
