D1 Nation Alumni: NCAA Performances of the Week
As the NCAA tournament and it’s March Madness nears the D1 Ambassadors alumni keeps on rolling along with outstanding performances every week. It’s impressive what the boys have done, especially the Class of 2010 and 2011 who are getting major minutes as freshmen, sophomores and redshirt freshmen.
25. Daniel Alexander RS-Fr. 6’9″ Dripping Springs (TX) Texas A&M
Alexander had 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal vs the Texas Longhorns.
24. Brian Williams RS-Fr. 6’6″ Baton Rouge Glen Oaks (LA) Oklahoma State
Williams had 11 points and 2 rebounds vs the Kansas Jayhawks.
23. Donovan Ross Fr. 6’6″ Ridgeland (MS) Southeast Louisiana
Ross had 7 points and 7 rebounds vs Texas-San Antonio.
22. Deon Mitchell Fr. 6’0″ Pflugerville (TX) Northern Iowa
Mitchell had 9 points and 5 rebounds vs Illinois State.
21. TaShawn Thomas Fr. 6’8″ Killeen (TX) Houston
Thomas had 8 points, 6 rebounds and an assist vs Tulsa
20. Eric McClellan Fr. 6’4″ Austin (TX) Tulsa
McClellan had 12 points, 3 rebounds and an assist vs UTEP.
19. Brian Williams had his second Top 25 performance of the week with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists vs the Iowa State Cyclones.
18. Royce O’Neale Fr. 6’5″ Harker Heights (TX) Denver
O’Neale had 16 points and 3 rebounds vs Florida Atlantic.
17. Trey Lindsey Fr. 6’7″ Austin Bowie (TX) Louisiana-Monroe
Lindsey had 4 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals vs South Alabama
16. Mark Nwakamma Fr. 6’6″ Leander (TX) Hartford
Nwakamma had 13 points 3 rebounds, 2 assist and a steal vs Binghamton
15. Cory Jefferson RS-So. 6’10″ Killeen (TX) Baylor
Jefferson had 11 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks vs the Kansas Jayhawks.
14. Justin Brickman So. 5’11″ San Antonio Clark (TX) Long Island
Brickman moved into the Top 10 Assist Leaders in the entire NCAA with a 3 point, 2 rebound, 12 assist, and 2 steal performance vs St. Francis.
13. Royce O’Neale continued his excellent freshman campaign with a 9 point, 8 rebound 2 assist performance vs Florida International.
12. Cody Doolin So. 6’2″ Austin Westlake (TX) San Francisco
Dooin had 9 points, 2 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals vs San Diego.
11. John Henson Jr. 6’11″ Round Rock (TX) North Carolina
Henson had 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks vs the Virginia Cavaliers.
10. Jordan Clarkson So. 6’5″ Converse Wagner (TX) Tulsa
Clarkson had 21 points, 2 rebounds and an assist against the Houston Cougars.
9. In a rare back to back performance vs the same team, Long Island’s Justin Brickman gave St. Francis their second straight ulcer with a 13 point, 2 rebound, 8 assist and 3 steal performance.
8. Converse Wagner alum Jordan Clarkson has his second Top 10 performance of the week with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists vs UTEP.
7. Travis Jones Sr. 6’6″ Georgetown (TX) Texas State
Jones had a 16 point and 11 rebound performance vs Central Arkansas.
6. Andre Roberson So. 6’7″ Converse Wagner (TX) Colorado
Roberson had 12 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a block vs the Arizona Wildcats.
5. Joel Smith Jr. 6’4″ Leander (TX) Northeastern
Smith had a 16 point, 8 rebound, 3 assist and 1 block vs Georgia State.
4. Andre Roberson was the scourge of the Desert as he had back to back double doubles in the State of Arizona. This time it was a 12 points, 9 rebound, 2 assist, 4 steal and 2 block effort vs the Arizona State Sun Devils.
3. Doolin’s second Top 25 performance was a scintillating 21 point, 7 assist and 2 steal performance (including 12 points in the last 6:00 of the game) vs Santa Clara.
2. Henson’s second top performance was a 12 point, 17 rebound and 2 assist stat line in the Tar Heels’ last second loss to Duke.
1. Cameron Moore Sr. 6’10″ San Antonio Roosevelt Alabama-Birmingham
Moore had the D1 Nation performance of the week as he had 27 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocks vs Southern Mississippi.
