Iceman 44-D1 Ambassadors Partnership Announced

Today’s a historic day in San Antonio basketball circles. One of the NBA’s Greatest Legends, San Antonio Spur George Gervin has partnered up with the King of Summer Basketball, Max Ivany of www.d1nation.com .
The agenda: To provide a holistic approach to youth basketball development in San Antonio.
Both parties are excited because it will provide a first for San Antonio; a holistic approach to youth basketball which will include, strength, nutrition, and skills training. Together with media exposure and a nationally ranked club platform a player’s needs will be addressed whether he wants to improve for his school team experience or he wants to pursue the opportunity to play at the college level.
The focal point of this new partnership will be the George Gervin Wellness Center located at 6944 Sunset Drive South in San Antonio. The state of the art three court facility will provide a great venue for tournaments, camps and showcases in addition to sport specific training from the professionals at Strength N Motion.
Las Vegas Live 17U Champions: Texas D1 Ambassadors
The Texas D1 Ambassadors-San Antonio (defending Las Vegas Live 17U National Champions), the most elite of travel clubs will be based out of the George Gervin Wellness Center and will be known as the Iceman 44/D1 Ambassadors. The curriculum for ALL San Antonio players will include an a la carte menu of a true basketball skills academy training model coupled with strength/agility training and nutritional counseling. This portion of the program will be overseen by Strength N Motion which is owned and operated by former pros Gee Gervin and Vince Embry.
Finally, the D1 Nation’s media presence will continue to champion the player from the San Antonio area. Top National Recruiting Analyst Max Ivany will be evaluating players on a regular basis and giving them deserved exposure and notoriety. And who knows? The Iceman himself may drop by from time to time to give the youngsters an old school tip or two. Under the leadership of Gervin Academy Athletic Director Tim Littlefield, the D1 Nation’s Max Ivany and the Iceman himself this will be a basketball opportunity without peer.
