Austin Round Up: Friday, February 3rd
District 15-5A looks like it will be the same old same old as last night Austin Westlake took care of a pesky Austin Akins squad and Austin Bowie easily handled the other potential contender in Austin Anderson. This sets up what is likely a matchup for the district marbles on Tuesday when Bowie attempts to get even with Westlake at the Chaps house.

2012 G Paul Baxter had 22 points and the outcome was never in doubt as Bowie clamped down defensively on a talented Anderson team. 2013 G John Gamlich led the Trojans with with 17 points.
Austin Westlake 66 Austin Akins 64
After getting beat up by 40 in their previous game, Akins came out swinging on their senior night and at half time were up on favored Westlake 41-34. Their emotional high subsided though and eventually their lead dwindled behind some timely shooting by 2014 G Chase Carlton who finished with 12 points. 2012 P Drew Wikelius continued his excellent senior year as he had 17 points/6 rebounds. 2013 G Will Morse added 15 points/8rebounds/6 assists and 2012 G R.J. Rowan scored 11.

2013 F Patrick Strake had 15 points to lead the Maroons over a good young Del Valle squad.
Liberty Hill 72 Salado 51
Senior Stephen Graves (24) and 2013 G Shane Lacaille added 23 as the Panthers rolled to victory with Texas Tech Head Coach Billy Clyde Gillispie in the house eyeballing emerging 2013 stud forward 6’7″ Blake Danielak (11).
Pflugerville 48 Georgetown 45
Down by 7 points late in the game Pflugerville made it’s move. Georgetown went into a stall a tad early and the Panthers overcame a 7 point deficit to escape with a big win. 2012 G Michael Hardge of Georgetown led all scorers with 27 points. 2013 G Napoleon Onyeje led Pflugerville with 19 points
Round Rock McNeil 59 Round Rock Westwood 45
2012 G Robert Waters had 16 and 2014 G Trey Dilworth added 12 as the Mavs won easily.
