Player Spotlight: 2012 Devon Turk: Houston Westbury Christian

2012 G Devon Turk transferred to Houston Westbury Chrisitan this 2011-2012 season and the result is a much more well rounded player than we saw last summer.  There never was ny doubt about the 6’2″ gunner’s ability to shoot, especially from beyond the three point line.  Last summer at the Pangos All American Camp and with the Texas D1 Ambassadors-Houston Turk showed off his quick trigger release and picture perfect form on his shot. Turk has been working on and has shown improvement in his ballhandling and decision making. Perhaps most importantly he’s understanding the importance of defending.  Athletically, Devon is capable of most anything he wants to do.

Currently he has offers from Jacksonville, Northeastern and Loyola-Chicago where he will soon take an official visit. Missouri State and others are also interested.  At the moment he has no clear cut favorite and will let his recruitment play out into the April evaluation period.
