2012 F 6’8″ Jake Belford: Battleground (WA)

Great news for Battleground H.S. (WA) as 2012 F 6’8″ Jake Belford has returned to the hardwood after suffering a severe knee sprain 3 weeks ago.  It didn’t take long for the skilled forward to make an impact as he had 17 points and 7 rebounds in their win over Skyview 57-49.

Belford  runs the floor, handles the ball well, rebounds, plays with a high motor and is a superior perimeter shooter.  He is also a person of high character and his academics are very sound.  (Good enough for the Patriot League offers he turned down). After receiving multiple Division One offers he decided to play through his senior year unsigned and revisit his recruitment in April.  Jake played his club basketball with the Oregon D1 Ambassadors.

For those D1 coaches who follow my reports, this is a no brainer.  He’d prefer to stay on the West Coast. He’s getting interest from high majors but in my opinion would have a GREAT mid major career.-Coach Max Ivany
