Last night two summer team mates from the Texas D1 Ambassadors-Hardge were on opposite sides of the ball running the point for their respective teams. 2012 PG Michael Hardge led Georgetown with 18 points (had a tweaked ankle) to an 11 point halftime lead. Hardge is one of the area’s top unsigned players from Austin and should sign a D1 scholarship during the April signing period.
2013 G T.J. Williams
The night belonged to 2013 PG T.J. Williams of Pflugerville. He had 9 points at the half. Barely more than a year ago he was barely 5’9″ but fast forward to today and he is a shade under 6’2″. Williams took the Panthers on his back in the 2n half and scored 20 points, finishing with a game high 29. He did it from the three point line, the mid range and at the rim.
Round Rock McNeil 80 Round Rock Westwood 65
2012 G Robert Waters had 21 and 2014 G Trey Dilworth added 19 as McNeil coasted to the win. 2012 G J.T. Dettman had 19 for Westwood in the loss.
Austin Westlake 80 New Braunfels 56
Westlake is really hitting it’s stride since Christmas. They got a tough road win against Converse Wagner and then thoroughly beat a decent New Braunfels team from the opening whistle last night. Four Chaps finished in double figures. 2013 W Vince DeBlasio had 14, 2012 G R.J. Rowan had 14, 2012 P Drew Wikelius had 18/9 rebounds and 2013 PG Will Morse 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists.
New Braunfels Canyon 89 Schertz Clemens 67
2012 G Sean Tollinger (25) and 2012 P 6’10″ Andrew Poulter (Arkansas-Little Rock) added 20 as the Cougars clawed Clemens.
San Antonio Churchill 76 San Antonio Madison 56
Three Chargers were in double figures with 2012 Scott Mammel (23), 2013 Taylor Sutlive (14) and Texas commit, 2012 Connor Lammert (14) forcing their will on Madison.
San Antonio Alamo Heights 66 Smithson Valley 47
Heights received balanced scoring from it’s huge front line as 2012 F 6’6″ Jeffrey Rodewald (16), 2012 Shelby Lane (15) and 2014 Ben Lammers (15) ate SV up in the paint.
Kerrville Tivy 40 Medina Valley 30
2013 P Zach Overby is really coming into his own this season. He dominated inside scoring 19 points on Medina Valley.
Harker Heights 60 A&M Consolidated 44
2012 G C.J. Rodriguez helped limit Texas A&M commit Alex caruso to 7 points while managing 17 of his own in the game between two of the District’s top rivals.
Killeen Ellison 84 Temple 82
Ellison’s 2013 G 6’0″ Ojai Black had 32 points, including going 8-8 from the free throw line to nip Temple. 2012 G Avery Polchinski (below) had 32 and 10 rebounds in the loss for Temple.
