The Sparkblug 2012 Andrew Evans Canby HS
Andrew Evans (5’10) PG from Canby High School (Canby, Oregon) is a vital change of pace option and decision-maker for Coach Cameron Turner’s Oregon D1 Ambassadors White team. He is a sparkplug off the bench or starting for this high powered offense. He gives Coach Turner options in that he can play like a traditional pass first point guard or he can also play like a run and gun point guard. When inserted he brings an injection of energy and speed on the defensive end. He is a very determined and crafty defender who puts an immense amount of pressure on the opposing teams point guard to make the right decision with constant harassment. For his size he is an above average rebounder and once the ball is in his hands he can zip the ball up the floor against unprepared defenses and leave them reeling. His decision making is superb and he gets the ball to the open man at every opportunity, but can also pull up and hit the open three. He will be putting his skills on display on Coach Turner’s Oregon D1 Ambassadors team in the month of July at these tournaments:
July 8-11 Great American Shootout Dallas, TX July 13-15 Northwest Hoops Summer Shootout Portland, OR July 22-26 Fab 48, NV July 27-30 Best of Summer Anaheim, CA
